Qualifications for Admission

Italian Citizens

The enrollment in Italian Universities is regulated by Ministerial provisions establishing the access modalities. Italian, European and non-European citizens with residence permit have to present the Admission Test application.

1st Academic Year 

The access to the 1st year of the Linguistic Mediation Course is allowed to all citizens possessing one of the following qualifications:

  • Five-years Secondary-School Diploma;
  • Primary School Teaching Certificate/ Arts High School Diploma + annual supplementary course;
  • Equivalent degree earned abroad;
  • Italian or foreign Bachelor’s Degree.

and who have passed the Admission Test.

 2nd Academic Year

The access to the Linguistic Mediation Course starting from the 2nd year is allowed to those citizens possessing any Bachelor’s Degree, even in a subject area which is different from the literary/linguistic one, provided that they have passed the first year exams of the languages expected in the Study Plan or they accumulated a minimum number of 24 ECTs in those subject clusters (Code) expected in the Study Plan.

3rd Academic Year

The enrollment from the 3rd year of the Course is allowed for those subjects possessing a Bachelor’s Degree in the languages requested in the enrollment procedure or, under the same conditions, an equivalent academic degree earned abroad (the equivalence of degrees will be evaluated by the School Directorate in accordance with legal requirements), or those who accumulated a minimum number of 84 ECTs in those subject clusters (Code) expected in the Study Plan.

The Linguistic Mediation Course is a limited enrollment course, the maximum number of enrolled students is 55 for each course year.

Foreign EU citizens

The students with a foreign but equal EU qualification and the non-EU students who are living in Italy are enrolled according to the same modalities and deadlines of the Italian students.

In order to validate their enrollment, they have to deliver a copy of the following documents:

  • Secondary-School Diploma, which is to be translated in Italian and validated by the authorities of the Country awarding it;
  • In loco eligibility letter awarded by the Italian Embassy of the Country where the student earned his degree;
  • Academic qualification certificate if it’s expected in the country of origin;
  • Tax code;
  • Passport copy.

Non-EU citizens living abroad

In order to access the first level Linguistic Mediation Course, the Non-EU Countries citizens have to possess a Secondary School qualification.

In order to validate their enrollment, the non-EU citizens have to deliver a copy of the following documents:

  • Secondary-School Diploma, which is to be translated in Italian and validated by the authorities of the Country awarding it;
  • In loco eligibility letter awarded by the Italian Embassy of the Country where the student earned his qualification;
  • Academic qualification certificate if it’s expected in the country of origin;
  • Tax code;
  • Passport copy;
  • Copy of the current residence permit.
