The Three-Year Degree Programme in Linguistic Mediation Sciences, specialising in Audiovisual and Gaming, Class L-12, aims to train professional Linguistic Mediators equipped with analytical and critical tools and a broad set of theoretical and practical skills, capable of working in audiovisual production and the adaptation of texts and dialogues, subtitling, and in the localisation and commercialisation of gaming products. The university pathway is structured to provide specific tools and skills in both written and oral linguistic mediation techniques, through lectures and workshops in interpretation, translation and subtitling of audiovisual products (films, TV series, documentaries, etc.) and video games. Furthermore, the pathway aims to equip students with specific skills in the promotion and commercialisation of audiovisual and gaming products, from translating all external communication materials — both technical and marketing — through to the correct positioning of the product on the international market.

Graduates of this pathway find employment in a variety of areas within the entertainment industry: international television broadcasters, web streaming channels and podcast channels, radio broadcasters, record labels, gaming development companies, website and video game localisation agencies, entertainment sector bodies, and international cinema. Furthermore, this is a professional profile strongly sought after by companies producing and managing products designed for the Metaverse.
